Presidents Letter

Dear MAE Electrologists,

We had an amazing 2020, that’s for sure! Massachusetts lost 16 licensed electrologists to retirement and some were forced to close their office. In spite of that the Massachusetts Association of Electrologists experienced an increase of 15 new members.

Accomplishments;

  •  We formed a task force to provide feedback to the Governors’ Covid task force  and to keep our colleagues updated and informed.

  •   Sent monthly e-mails through Constant Contact.

  •  Encouraged membership and participation in decision making in the organization.   We held a Virtual BOD meeting in September 2020 to discuss future Seminars.

  •  We held a successful Virtual Seminar in November.

  • The design of a new MAE website is almost complete. Check it out!

  •   A letter was sent to the state asking that all electrologists be vaccinated sooner.

  •   Provided our membership the ability to track their CEUs on-line.

  •   Pay by credit card when registering for seminars is now available

As the president of the MAE for another year, my focus will be on

The New Leadership Team, Education and Membership.

President,

Linda M. Mara
